About
Every year, thousands of young women age out of the foster care system with nowhere to go and no one to turn to. At 18, they are expected to navigate adulthood alone—without the safety net of family, without the guidance of mentors, and without the support many of us take for granted. The statistics are heartbreaking: within a few years, many of these young women face homelessness, joblessness, exploitation, and the devastating cycle of poverty.
Hear the origin story of how Co-Founders Angela Lippens and Carin Bird
felt God's calling to start Unfaulted.
But their story doesn’t have to end there.
Unfaulted was born out of a deep desire to see these young women not just survive—but thrive. We saw the gaps. We saw the needs. And we knew that with faith, love, and community, GOD could change the narrative.
We started small, with a simple mission: to walk alongside young women aging out of foster care and give them what they’ve always deserved—belonging, purpose, and hope. What began as a handful of mentors and volunteers has grown into a thriving, Christ-centered community that empowers young women through mentorship, life skills training, counseling, education support, and career readiness.
At Unfaulted, we believe transformation happens in relationships. We are the community, mentors, and friends these young women need as they step into adulthood. We show up. We listen. We guide. We equip them with the tools to break free from the past and build a future filled with stability, confidence, and faith.
Most importantly, we remind them of this truth: God has created each one of them and desires to have a personal relationship with them. They are loved. They are worthy. And with the right support, they can build a life beyond what they ever imagined.
This is Unfaulted. This is our story. And we invite you to be a part of it.
